The Story of iFeelWell

"We started iFeelWell to combine our meditation knowledge with our technological skills, helping to make the world a better place. Back in 2014, my wife Keren and I quit our comfortable jobs in the academy and at IBM research and journeyed to the Himalayas – the source of meditation and yoga. Our goal was to develop a product that would help people be happier and healthier."

As we noticed how breathing exercises in mediation were so useful and beneficial for us, we wanted to make mediation more accessible for everyone. We used our technical skills to transform it into an interactive digital mediation which can help the user to learn precisely how to harmonize their heart, body and mind.

We wanted our meditation app to help people meditate better, not just by giving nice instructions, relaxed voices and music but by using the user’s body’s measures. We first focused on asthma as we understood how important it would be to help the 334 million asthmatic patients.

In 2015, we were chosen among the 10 leading medical apps by Medica (the world largest medical conference). In 2016, we got awarded by the German Federal Minister of Health in the World Health Summit as the “Most Revolutionary Health Care Startup Award”. The German health minster summarized our work in the following paragraph:

“With its focus on asthma, iFeel Labs takes a revolutionary approach to one of the biggest global health problems today. It combines medical insight with computational expertise. Most importantly it manages the actual cause of asthma, maladaptation to stress, rather than just masking symptoms. With over 300 million asthma sufferers worldwide, iFeel Labs has the potential to make a major impact on one of the most common debilitating chronic diseases today thru respiratory digital therapy. By combining popular games on mobile devices and an ISO/FDA/CE approved oximeter to optimize the way asthma patient breath while they are having fun. Creating a playful tool for a chronic disease that is closely related to the feeling of anxiety. What a great idea."
In the last few years, we developed our small start up and improved our product for the general public’s relaxation. Our solution has already sold to more than 100,000 users in the past year. Understanding the devastating effect that Coronavirus can have on the alarming level of anxiety, which more than tripled in the last year, effecting everybody, and the need to check the oxygen levels and improve the lung function in a non-parametrical means, we launched the iFeelC19 website to help people become happier and healthier.
